Medi-Forte is committed to protecting the safety and wellbeing of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults who use our services. We recognise that healthcare providers have a significant role to play in identifying, preventing, and responding to abuse, neglect, and other forms of harm.
This statement explains what safeguarding means in the context of our clinic, how we meet our responsibilities, and what to do if you have a concern.
Safeguarding means taking steps to protect children and vulnerable adults from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other forms of harm. It also means creating an environment in which people feel safe to raise concerns about their own wellbeing or that of others.
All clinical and non-clinical staff at Medi-Forte receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role. Our team is trained to:

We follow the principles of Care Act 2014 guidance on safeguarding adults. Our team is trained to recognise and respond to concerns about adults who may be at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
In most cases your clinical information is kept confidential. However, if a member of our team has reasonable cause to believe that a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of significant harm, we are legally and professionally obliged to share that information with the appropriate agencies — even without your consent.
We will inform you if we intend to share information in this way, unless doing so would put you or another person at risk of harm.
If a clinician or member of staff has a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a patient or third party, they will follow our internal safeguarding procedure and, where appropriate, make a referral to:
